PRIVATE THEATER AND FILM COACHING

The cultural and artistic association of the Slovenian National Theater of Kranj, in cooperation with the Hollywood acting school Best Acting Class, is opening its doors this summer for individual instruction in acting and public speaking.

EUR 29 per meeting per person or EUR 99 for a package of four meetings together

EUR 39 per meeting for two people together or EUR 119 for a package of four meetings together

WHAT WILL WE DO?

Before the beginning of private instruction, we have an informative meeting, during which the instructor asks the student a series of questions about his personal life. The instructor will use this information throughout the course of the work, as it is important to take into account the individuality of the student in theater and film education. At this first meeting, the student can bring all the material they want to work on and ask the instructor any questions they may have.

Private instruction is intended for those who want to work on material chosen by the student or by the teacher at the request of the student. These can be scenes from plays, film or television scripts, commercials, prose, poetry, speeches, business presentations, etc. Depending on the student's prior knowledge, each instruction will include some theory and a lot of practice. The trainee is expected to practice the processed material himself during the meetings.

Examples of instructions:

• cold-reading

• text analysis

• self-taping

• preparing for auditions or performances

• rhetoric

• how to get rid of stage fright

• construction and use of proposed circumstances

• dialogues (in the case of two students together during instruction)

At the request of the students, individual scenes can also be recorded and then they receive recordings.

After completing 45 hours of private instruction, the student will receive a certificate of successfully completed training.

INSTRUCTOR Igor Korošec graduated in acting from the Russian Academy of Dramatic Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, after which he was employed in SLG Celje for a couple of years, and also played in MGL. Later, his journey took him to Los Angeles, where he continued his acting career in theater plays, television series ('Alias', 'Chuck', 'Rizzoli & Isles', 'Grimm'), films ('Good German' directed by Stevna Soderbergh, 'Charlie Wilson's War' directed by Mike Nichols), commercials, radio plays, etc. He has also taught acting at various elementary and high schools throughout Los Angeles, as well as at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
