THEATER AND FILM COURSE FOR ADULTS

The cultural and artistic association Slovenian National Theater Kranj is opening its doors this autumn for theater and film education for adults.

It has been scientifically proven that this type of training improves cognitive as well as motor skills. It also has a positive effect on self-confidence, self-expression, compassion for others and helps maintain and build social contacts.

THE PROGRAM

is intended for adults aged 18 to 99

MEETINGS

they are from the beginning of September to the end of June once a week and last two hours.

COURSE FOR BEGINNERS

We will start with various relaxation, movement, voice, memory and improvisation exercises. We will continue with excerpts from theater plays and Hollywood scripts. We will learn to analyze texts, form our own character and role.

At the end of the school year, participants receive a Certificate of successful completion of the course.

CONTINUING COURSE

In the advanced course, we will use the previous knowledge and deepen it even more. We will put a selected theater play on stage and learn to build relationships with other characters and the environment.

We will record commercials for breaks between scenes and thus touch on Hollywood film production.

At the end of the course, participants will receive recordings of their commercials, which they can use to promote themselves as actors or actresses.

At the end of the school year, participants receive a Certificate of successful completion of the course.

THE STAR COURSE

In this course we will tackle excerpts from famous Hollywood films and series; we will analyze them and record them in a suitable location. We will also touch on the business side of Hollywood showbiz.

At the end of the course, the participants will receive recordings of their scenes, which they can use to promote themselves as actors or actresses.

At the end of the school year, participants receive a Certificate of successful completion of the course.

INSTRUCTOR Igor Korošec graduated in acting from the Russian Academy of Dramatic Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, after which he was employed in SLG Celje for a couple of years, and also played in MGL. Later, his journey took him to Los Angeles, where he continued his acting career in theater plays, television series ('Alias', 'Chuck', 'Rizzoli & Isles', 'Grimm'), films ('Good German' directed by Stevna Soderbergh, 'Charlie Wilson's War' directed by Mike Nichols), commercials, radio plays, etc. He has also taught acting at various elementary and high schools throughout Los Angeles, as well as at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
